Single Sign-On (SSO) enables users to to securely authenticate with multiple applications and websites by logging in only once—with just one set of credentials such as username and password. SureCloud supports SSO by relying on a trusted third party to verify that users are who they say they are. When using single sign-on with SureCloud logging into your application will normally follow these steps:
1. User visits the SureCloud Website.
2. User enters their User ID and clicks Next.
3. SureCloud checks with the trusted third party:
a. If the user has already been authenticated they are successfully logged into SureCloud.
b. If the user has not been authenticated then the third party will ask for authentication, via your corporate single sign-on page, before being logged into to SureCloud.
4. Subsequent visits to SureCloud will automatically log you into SureCloud until your session expires and you return to step 1.
